Legendary Hong Kong

Had the chance to attend a food tasting at Legendary Hong Kong at Jurong Point, and even though I stay in the East, it was a good decision to come here. The menu was diverse, the whole restaurant setting made me feel like I was in Hong Kong, and the food was awesome!

Traditional Hong Kong Style Milk Tea in Bottle $4.80
I simply love this! The taste was just right and smooth. And this is how Hong Kong style milk tea should be served - in a bucket full of ice!

Shrimp Dumpling in Soup $7.80

 Wonton in Soup $7.80

Barbecued Platter (Roasted London Duck, Barbecued Pork, Crispy Pork Belly) $18.80

Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk $9.80

Braised Assorted Vegetables with Preserved Taro Sauce in Claypot $13.30
As a Cantonese, I actually liked this dish. Good to go with a bowl of rice.

Sorrowful Romance Rice (BBQ Pork & Sunny Side Up Egg on Rice) $10.80
If you watched the movie "The God of Cookery" (食神) by Stephen Chow, you would probably have heard of this dish before - 黯然銷魂飯.

Thick Rice Roll with Deep Fried Shrimp Rolls $6.80

 Crispy Egg Tart $1.80

Tossed Nissin Noodle with Chicken Fillet in Ginger & Scallion Sauce $9.30

Crispy Turnip Cake with Beancurd Skin Flakes $5.20
This actually is something new that I have never seen before - turnip cake in a new light.

Deep Fried Glutinous Dumplings Stuffed with Mixed Meats $5.00
Something new again, and it tasted good!

Braised Pig Liver with Ginger & Spring Onion in Claypot $15.30

Plain Rice Roll with Special Sauce $5.20
Not exactly the smoothest rice roll I have ever tasted, but this was still not bad.

Piggy Bun with Egg Custard $5.00
As usual, please do eat your buns while they are hot.

Custard Crust Bun with Butter $2.50
This was so good! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The buttery taste just blends so well with the bun! I really love this even though I'm not a fan of breads and buns.

We also had a huge galore of traditional desserts, like the steam milk pudding, sesame paste, almond paste, and black glutinous desserts. Well if you have had steam milk pudding from the famous restaurants in Hong Kong before (eg. Australian Dairy or Yee Shun), this actually pales in comparison. However, it was good enough if you want to compare with Singapore standards.
